MySQL problems

Jacob had serious trouble getting MySQL 4.1.14 to work on his iBook. It turns out that the problem originated in wrong permissions on /private/tmp/ where MySQL keeps its .pid file. Permissions on /private/tmp/ should of course be rwx for everyone.

The silly thing is that Disk Utility fails to correct the permissions. I'm glad we found the cause.
