Moving mails to Mac OS X

11th February, 2005

I've looked a little more at the problem with moving mails from Outlook Express on Windows to Mail on Mac OS X [see this post]. It appears that Outlook Express uses a format called dbx [sometimes mbx] while Outlook uses one called pst. I've foundseveral free tools to convert between dbx/mbx/pst and standard UNIX mbox-format, used by Apple's Mail. The next task is to find the better one of these and wrap a really easy GUI around so anyone can use it.

Memento will change name to Retrospective and go final by the next release. I'm adding support for Shiira and ability to double-click an entry to open the page in your default browser. Stay tuned.
